One of my favorite planting projects ever, this large property was tangle of chest-high invasive weeds upon arrival. After thorough weed remediation, we installed a tranquil mixture of California natives and other low-maintenance, drought-tolerant cousins. Designed for maximum compatibility with the beautiful native oaks, these plants will fill in to densely cover the hillside and provide year-round texture, color and interest. In order to maximize space, we created an upper patio with firepit and seating. The hills are retained with naturalistic dry-stack Sonoma fieldstone walls and the hot tub is tucked into a private corner for those evenings in your birthday suit.
